    Engine Swap Help Needed: 1964 273 to 2001 5.9 Magnum 360

Now I am stuck. Bought a weighted torque converter thinking this would bypass the flexplate issue and still get the external balancing done. Maybe this is old news to some, but the balanced TC has 22 splines and the old 904 trans had 18 splines. It goes right into place but the car wouldn't...

Concerns About my new 64 Barracuda

I recently learned while doing an engine swap on this car that it is a numbers matching car. The intake and block are original. Looks like I will be holding on to this 273 motor and will look to rebuild it over time.

    Taking a 1965 2bbl 273 to a 4 bbl or commando settings

I looked and looked for a 4bbl intake for my 64 cuda with a 273. Edelbrock doesn't make the one you need anymore. You are looking for their D4B intake. Make sure you don't try the LD4B, which is for 66 and beyond. The only company that I could find still making them new was Offenhauser...

    Engine Swap Help Needed: 1964 273 to 2001 5.9 Magnum 360

Thanks 64 Cuda. Forgot to ask about the H20 pump. I think with the serpentine belt that the water pump runs backwards on these motors. Can the pre-magnum pumps be used since the serpentine build will not be used?

    Engine Swap Help Needed: 1964 273 to 2001 5.9 Magnum 360

I have been searching the forums for the last few weeks to try and get all the info necessary to make this switch. I was confident enough to pull the trigger and pick up the engine today. I am going to a manifold/carb set up, no EFI. Here are some of the things I know I need Intake/carb -...

    WTB - 360 Motor - In Ohio

I am looking to do a swap of my 273 for my 64 Barracuda. I have at least one bad piston ring and it is more cost effective to swap it out than rebuild it. I am trying to take it from 2 bbl to a 4 bbl and the intake alone on this old 273 is outrageous. I am interested in a complete 360 motor...

    1964 Barracuda 273 Intake

I am in need of a 4 barrel intake for a 273. I am open to either an original cast iron or an aluminium one. I know that Edelbrock made the D4B that will work. Please PM me with any leads or items to sell. Thanks.

Concerns About my new 64 Barracuda

Thanks for any help you can give. This was more info than I was able to locate so I am already further down the road.

What car insurance company do you use?

That is exactly correct. The rates already anticipate the cars are parked 4-5 months a year here in OH. The levels of coverage I carry are 250,000 per person and 500,000 per accident liability. Our loss ratio experience is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than daily driver vehicles so the amount of...

Concerns About my new 64 Barracuda

Thanks for the help. This site was for 1965 and mine is a 64. It is safe to assume that most of this info was consistent across both years. As for the there only being one letter under the AB section, I am wondering if they added the additional digit in 65.

What car insurance company do you use?
