    A-904 Serviceable?

Does anyone know why the back of the Drive button is painted and blocks illumination from the bulb?

    A-904 Serviceable?

I rebuilt it! One of the “spring clips” was broken on the “D”rive button plate and a buddy of mine was able to fabricate a new one from spring steel. I cleaned and reassembled and put in new bulbs. Its so nice now!

    A-904 Serviceable?

YAY! Thank You... I suppose it won't really hurt to try... the car drove "in Drive" before I pulled it out.. it had just been refusing to go into reverse. It went into Neutral and Park ok ... so far as I experimented.

    A-904 Serviceable?

So I've been working on my '63 Valiant and I got to the point I decided to rebuild the transmission. I've finally gotten it out of the car and torn down and I'd like some advice. There is evidence of destruction in the Bell Housing and I'd like a recommendation if this housing is useable...

A-body 1963-1964 Pushbutton shifter….Plymouth and Dodge the same?

I pulled mine out of the dash attempting to restore it. The reverse button lever won't click into place and when you look at that lever it appears that the "clasp" mechanism one of the forks has broken off. Really not sure how if I have the skill to fab a new one. @waguy Do you have a pile...

    1963 Dart 170 2 Door Post Resto

I want to say ... Amazing... you have really inspired me... I have a '63 Valiant that I've started (my first real attempt at anything in restoration). One thing I've been questioning myself about (after reading this forum and others) is the 7 1/4 rear. I hope you don't mind my asking, you...

    1963 Valiant Horn Button Restoration

Can anyone recommend the best way to restore this cracked '63 Vailant Horn Emblem? Thanks for any guidance!

    I love polishing things

That's Fantastic! And thank you for the polishing restoration tips... I hate to bring this up... but doesn't that "V" insignia indicate a Valiant? Probably a '64 or '65. The Barracuda would have had the Barracuda fish logo I would think.

    '63 Valiant Leaf Springs

Anyone have a recommendation for where to get replacement leaf springs for a '63 Valiant (or Dart)? Looking online, '63 seems to be a bit of an unpopular year for restoration parts. I'd prefer bolt on parts that I don't have to modify if possible. Alternatively, can these leaf springs be...

    Rear Drum Brake Help

Thanks Everyone! I got the Raybestos H7037 hardware kit along with their adjuster kit. We'll see how well I do getting this installed.

    Rear Drum Brake Help

I'll probably spend the money to order the '65 kit and just compare the springs with what I've got. I don't really trust that I've got original equipment now that I see the mistakes made in there.

    Rear Drum Brake Help

Thanks for the catch on the shoes being reversed. I hadn't caught that. Do you happen to know why I can't find brake hardware kits listed for a 63? Do you know if any other 9" Drum kits would work?

    Rear Drum Brake Help

That particular part says it fits Valiants from '65-'68... I wonder why they think it won't fit '63? Could it be the 5x4 bolt pattern? What else changed? Especially since it fit's a '63 dart.. Tempted to try anyway.

    Rear Drum Brake Help

Will any old 9" Drum kit work? When I look they say they don't carry anything compatible with my car.

    Rear Drum Brake Help

Ok, I also notice that clearly I'm missing the "Hold Down" spring for the rear shoe. I've searched Rock Auto, Summit Racing, many others... Any advice welcome.
