Would it be a sin to cut the top off to make it a non convertible? Would that even work structurally?

Trying to figure out the easiest way to get it mobile. I have no preferences on motor or transmission. It looks like an auto console car. But I would be perfectly happy to toss a slant auto in it for the time being. Or anything else that I can afford right now
