Hows the ring gear look? For it to stop turning one wheel it would have to have lost the splines on the axle or spool. I have seen axles not have hardly any engagement and then break when a good amount of power is applied.
Congratulations on the engagement!
That 10” if its like mine it will go probably high 3’s low 4k with you hp on the brake. Mine is 4400 when I let go and the dump valve closes.
Hyguard dropped my converter slip from 35% to 3% at 1200 whp. So I am not what that guy is talking about.
I think tuning is the key plus setting the engine up for success with lightweight parts. I just had a conversation with a well known small block guy that makes well over 1k hp N/A at 10,000 rpm and he split a Ritter block. He pays a well known engine builder to build his engines. With his 4”...
My Duster makes 860 to the tire through an 8.75. With parts from the 90’s it lasted 23 years with lots of hits. I think the 8.75 gets a bad rap. With that being said, if i was starting from scratch it would be 9” all the way. Its just stout and parts availability is insane. The only bummer is...
Interesting. I have gone the other way putting a 59 degree head on a 48 degree block and it took quite a bit of work. I have a set of B1BA heads as well and I wanted to use them on a 340 block. They are moved centerline like the W heads. I have yet to find any info on whether they will fit or...
Cool deal. How did you get around the 59 degree lifter angle. W9 is 48 degree. The pushrods will hit the head.
I agree. I dont come here much anymore. I have put up lots of evidence to support that a SBM will take well over 1k with turbo or nitrous. I truly think the SBM is truly underrated. I...
