I think the dyno vs the track would be a good thread, i have not had my engines on the dyno, but i am sure they don't make as much HP as you would think to the run the ET that they do. is it car set up? or convertor? How much HP does a 318 need to make to run high 11's in the 1/4 mile?

I had them be tight in the bushing, and taken a brake hone to size the bushing.

I would have to run a adapter plate, i have a Victor W-2, will that be a problem?

I have been wondering what size carb i will need on my 3.55 crank W-2 headed 340, i was thinking 950, maybe it will need more.

The 340 intake looks nothing like a 273 intake, if your looking for the 273 look, that is not even close.

I like the asphalt dyno personally, the flow bench can be tricky sometimes, i had a 318 in my Duster that ran 11.70s, it was 9.5-1 comp with a flat tappet cam and Edelbrock heads and a dual pane intake, it was just a street car, i drove it to the track and raced it. I could not even think about...

I have always raced 1/4 mile, bracket racing and i race Stock Eliminator, but i am done with NHRA, i will not be renewing my membership next year. we don't have any place to race around here anymore, i would rather race 1/8 than have my cars sit in the garage.

This is interesting NHRA has a race scheduled there.

I feel the stroker cranks 4 inch and above put a lot stress on the block, swinging that big arm around.
