Called CSR (Formerly CSI), it is one of there pumps from pre-1998. Looks like I get to buy a new water pump before this weekend. Anyone have any thoughts on Meziere, CSR, or CVR for the big blocks?
All, have an odd part that came on our car when we bought it and now it is failing.
It is a water pump adapter that has two block adapter and an anodized tube that runs between them. That tube has an adapter for the upper radiator hose. It adapts a chevy water pump to the block with the...
How are you guys backing off the shafts without warping them? I must be missing something cause I am confused. Maybe I need another lesson in installing the shafts as we'll. are you torquing them down with the pushrods in place and using the bolts to compress the springs while you torque them down?
I am curious to know what "ma Snart" gets for mileage with that. With my 2010 1500 and the v-nose 20' I average 10.5. That is with the 3.92s and air bag helpers on the back.
We just downsized from a 40' gooseneck to nothing yet. We had a dragster so the length was needed but I rented a 20' V-nose to go pick up the dart and it had room to spare but not much. Personally I don't think the V-Nose helped mileage at all and have heard theories that the increased frontal...
I really want to get an oil temp gauge installed for safety and I am switching over to methanol this winter and will need. Were do you guys install the oil temp probe on these motors?
The guy I bought the car and motor from finally sent me the engine builders name and number. Apparently he is a Mopar Top Sportsman racer so I am going to call him and find out the details on why clearances he built it for. Thanks for all of the replies.

We have always ran vr1 20w50 in all of the big blocks we have raced as well. Another question: with the indy head oiling lines coming out of the rear of the block where can I install an oil temp gauge? I am switching over to alcohol over the winter and want to be able to monitor oil temperature.
it has a system 1 reusable filter so it is not going to do that. I am really not that concerned about how fast it is as it is a bracket car. Just don't want to have to worry about drive gear and cam.
