Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

That is a great place to start, and it sounds like almost everything I had read and was leaning towards. I was just going to go the Eagle route instead of the Scat for the rotating assembly. Great link and thanks!

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

I was leaning towards the 190 Trickflow heads and some nice 1.6 rockers and a good size cam that will work well with the sniper efi and produce as much power as I can.

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

Please keep me updated on that. It sounds awesome, and it sounds very similar to what I was looking at. Eagle forged kit, trickflow heads (190s) and the sniper. Would love to hear your feedback on the sniper kit. Did you go with flat top or dish pistons?

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

I thought about shipping my block, but it seemed a bit scary to be honest. It seemed expensive and even more so on the way back with the rotating assembly all done as a for instance. What does that type of pricing look like for your shop and where are you located? I thought my budget was...

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

I don't have a great place to store it, and I would rather use it. If I did store it, I would most likely never put it back in and that would be a waste. Once this is done, I want to drive it and enjoy it then move onto another project.

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

Hi and thanks for the reply! I don't have a set budget necessarily. If I need more money, I will just have to wait a bit longer. Currently, I was hoping to be around the 8-10k range with all the major components. Without the small-ish things like headers, water pump and so on. If it needs to...

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

I figured Trick Flow would be great. My hp goals are just goals. If I get to 500 and it is nice to drive on the street, I will be plenty happy. I will do some additional reading on the cam. I was not for sure which type I needed. I was planning on also doing a power disc brake conversion kit...

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

Thanks for the reply. I did look at that as an option. The only issue is that it is a numbers matching car, and my dad is the original owner. It has a lot of history as my family's car so it seemed a shame to swap to a different engine.

Need advice on a 340 stroker engine

Hi All! I have an original 72 duster that I am restoring with my father. We are wanting to use the 340 block as it is the original one, but everything else is up to be replaced. There is a ton of information out there, and I am not quite for sure the best path to go down so I am looking for...

72 Duster 3 point seat belts

That makes sense. I was hoping just to use the package tray to run it through and then mount it down to the floor of the trunk. I do see what looks like a duct area in the package tray, but there is a spot that has curved metal to not slice a belt. It looks like it was really meant for a belt...

72 Duster 3 point seat belts

Hi Everyone, I need to put in 3 point seat belts all throughout my 72 duster on order of my wife to have the kids in the car as well. I have buckets in the front, and I found this kit from Seat Belt Planet that seems to just bolt in: 1971-1974 Plymouth Duster Driver & Passenger Conversion Kit...

Need recommendations on a body shop

Hi everyone! I am currently restoring a 72 duster with my father. He is the only owner, and we are doing it as a joint project. We have the car all stripped down to nothing. It is ready to be blasted, have new panels put on, and then go to paint. I have all ready purchased all the new panels...
