I bought a nos manual gearbox for my 73 Scamp. I see there are a couple adjustments listed in the shop manual, are these necessary on a new gearbox or just an old worn one? I don’t have the special tools listed to do the adjustments.
Ok so I checked with the radiator and there are no stamps or part numbers on it. I set it next to the one that was in the car for the 6 and they are the same size, only difference is the inlet is on the drivers side which I need for the V8, and the cooler fittings are about 2” off from the I6...
Now that would make sense. I did remember that the radiator I bought came out of a 71 Dart Swinger. But I doubt that would be different than a 73 Scamp V8 radiator as far as where the lines mount. The K frame makes more sense.
I have a 73 Scamp with a 72 340/727 and I’m wanting to get new transmission cooler lines. I had to swap the original slant 6 radiator for a V8 one with the driver side inlet and the used one I got I have no idea what year it’s from. I see Mancini and in-line tube shows a different part for 70-72...
So my 73 Scamp has a 72 340, with an edelbrock 2176 intake. I have a stock thermoquad I’m going to install but I need a stock choke. All the reference I find shows the style with the bathtub and gasket, but both my aftermarket Edelbrock and my 72 factory cast iron 340 intake have the open well...
Yea I should look into that, are the seals available? I think the driver side may be frozen as well, it doesn’t want to turn by hand and I don’t think it should be that stiff. When you say you removed the dash, are you referring to the pad or the whole dash?
WOW, your my hero!!!! Thank you so much this will be so helpful! Having to fix these under the dash is a whole new experience and one that I’m dreading lol.
Not sure if this is correct thread to add this, but does anyone have a picture of how the linkage arms all fit together? I have the original fsm and I cannot find anything on wiper motor or linkages. My bushings are all crumbled away and I’m not sure how the arms are supposed to connect.
I was curious about this. We’ll the box sold while I was trying to figure it out. All mopar show and it was the only manual box here. Not sure why these seem to be so hard to find outside of $100+ on eBay….
