I'm not sure this is where it goes... but I have a question about installing a tachometer.

So I have a 65 dart gt, which I love, but it's weird to me not to have a tachometer. I like knowing my rpms, especially when shifting it myself. I'm good at going off sound, but I'd still like to know..

So I'm wondering if there is a way to install a tachometer onto this car? am I going to have to tear a ton of **** up to do it? How difficult would this be?

Super easy
1 wire through firewall to neg side of coil.
Get your power from a keyed source at fuse box.
Then get a good ground close to where you mount the tach on the dash frame. Scrape paint off for good ground
For lights you can take the pos from the illumination wire from your radio and the ground can go to the same as tach ground.
If there is an open spot on the bulkhead connector that would be a good place to route the wire to the coil

I used an existing screw hole under my dash close to the center under the ash tray for the mount so I didn't have to drill any holes.

thanks guys. Gave me the confidence to start pursuing this. Now I just need to try and find a gauge that looks like my stock gauges for everything else. Don't want it to look all out of place. And of course, a place for it to go.

Would the same basic steps apply for the install on my 72 Duster?
