Anyone's wife the same as mine?????

SO--5 years ago I embarked on restoring my first car--70 Duster-- I struggled through it,with all the ups, downs,Wrong parts sent and returned, trials and errors(mostly mine) all the time my wife was with me and excited about the fun we would have in the car,This was our first full summer of "enjoying" the car and it was great,BUT the one thing that kept me going was the fact that someday I'd see my wife taking the car out and driving it with my daughter or friends.WELL she tells me that after witnessing all the work and hours that went into the car she will never get behind the wheel!!!!! and drive it--to me that sucks and I know to some of you that would be a blessing!!!! What about your wife's?????? Same story--Just want to know that I'm not alone---Steve

Swifter, I would say I have the EXACT same problem as you. Built a 1980 Trans Am way back when, painted black, gold stripes, just like she asked. She drove it once and that was it. Got rid of that and bought her an original paint 71 Roadrunner, never drove it. So, I scaled it down a bit and bought her a 69 Barracuda /6 with A/C, MINT California car...well, wasn't as fast, but was too nice and she was always worried that she would crack it up, so, never drove that either. Now, it's been in storage for the past 4 years. Haven't seen it in 3 years....:violent1:
