Hi, I have a 67 Barracuda and plan on drag racing it, this weekend. I can get some 15 x 8 with 4 5/8 backspacing rally wheels, sbp. I need to know if anyone has used these before with standard spring location? Will they fit with 235/60/15 M&H tyres. Being in Australia I'm a bit on my own when it comes to this sort of thing sometimes. The wheel supplier is unsure and my car is currently in the shop getting prepared, so I can't just go out and check it for myself. He is holding the wheels for me, but I'll need to sort it out fairly promptly I guess. I will appreciate any advice. Thanks.
Ooops, i accidentally already posted this thread in the classified section.....

Thanks. Thats what I wanted to hear. It was pretty much this combo or nothing, really. SBP wheels are even harder to find over here than it is for you guys.

These are 15x8.5s with 47/8 backspace on my 69.
Tyres are 28x9x15 slicks which is the same as 275/60/15
Std location springs and no tubbing.

See.There are answers in Oz!!!

I used offset hangers to give me a little additional room with the the 15x8 but I needed that with the 275/60/15. These tires seem to bulge out more on the side walls.

I run 15x8s with 275 60 15 drag radials with no offset hangers or tubbing and still have all the quarter lip it left the factory with.

I put offset hangers on and found I could fit a 28x10.5x15 slick.
looks like this.

Since then I've put the same tyre on 15x10 rimms still with std tubs.

G Day, thanks for the aussie advice. I'm taking the car over to Melbourne for the Mopar Nationals this weekend and I'm purchasing the tyres and wheels over there. It will hopefully be it's first time on a track, it's a long tow to have no wheels that fit.
I've actually followed the progress of your cuda over the years, on various forums. I actually saw it on a trailer behind the Ram, going the other way on a highway near Noosa, whilst we were holidays up there. Kind of felt like I knew you, as you went past. The last thing I expected to see in the middle of no where was that cuda, that I'd been reading about a couple days before.
