tire wheel - help

You can physically install tires on wheels smaller or larger than recommended. It affects both aesthetic looks and tire performance. Remember that 275 is the section width, not tread width. I run a 255 on an 8" wheel and it "looks" about right to my eye. A 275 would only be about 3/4" wider. Personally, I'd be considering an 8 or 9" wheel.
 
here is a 275/60/15 on a 10 inch rim. i have mounted 275/60/15s on 7,8,8.5,10,11.5 inch rims.

here is a 255/70/15 on a 15x10, they look meaty from the side, but not as wide of a footprint as a 60, and they are taller
