I actually fliped the switches and made harness extensions for them. Ans yeah it was a fitment issue, all because I wanted the tach and speedo centered on the column. The headlight switch is pretty big so it would have been too tight on the original side with all the small gauges.

And 73Swinger, cant wait to see how yours comes out. Just like I said, anyone with some paitience and time can do this,no problem. I made a full custom panel out of aluminum for my old 68 Satellite too, just gotta dive in and do it.

Glad I could give some guys ideas and inspiration, now get out in the garage and get to it!!!!!

That looks awesome! I like the gauges.

My aluminum panel is at the machine shop being cut out for the gauges this week. I can't wait to get it set up!
 
Great looking cluster. I bought an extra with plans of doing something very similar but I was going with a plain back painted plastic panel rather than carbon fiber. I will definately follow through seeing how nice that turned out.
