Man I was cleaning my shop today, trying to stash some parts in the rafters. When I opened the garage door down came a fender landing directly on the corner of the roof of my 69 Dart right above the windshield. No damage to the fender, which would upset me but not as bad as the big *** dent in my roof!!!

At least you can cover it with vinyl...but this still blowz

I'm sure it can be fixed,it just sucks! Really don't want vinyl, and as far as storage I don't have alot of room for it 30X40 FULL 19X25 PACKED and seem to get more all the time!Need to get this scamp body out of here and sell the parts i've got off it

Find someone in the area that does PDR work
Most folks don't have a clue what PDR is!

For those who don't, its paintless dent repair. I have seen miracles but if it has a serious crease forget about it. A hail dent or dings are no problem.

I bet the roof has a good crease and cracked the paint.

The car is a shell at this point,a guy from work that does paint and body on the side is going to look at it for me.

That sucks, sorry to hear about it, but sounds like something I'd do.

I just had a simular disaster with my dart.

I've just finished painting my car, with it dissassembled, doors off fenders off etc.

I did a full base/clear paint job, hours and hours of color sanding and buffing.

So the other day, I was getting ready to reinstall my pass side door, and long story short I dropped the back end of the door onto the concrete from about 2ft up. Totally folded the lower rear corner of the door over. I was so pissed I just walked away for about 3 weeks.
Just started working on it again. It can be fixed without too much difficulty, but after countless hours of bodywork, painting, colorsanding, buffing just on that one door, it really ticked me off.
I have both doors installed and aligned now, but still haven't fixed the corner on the door I dropped. I'll fix it on the car.

Good luck with your roof

My wife was helping me put the seat back in my freshly painted '70 Swinger and she dragged the rear stud across the sill gouging the paint through. She felt really bad- fortunately the sill trim wasn't on yet so it will be covered. I could have collected big time on that but I felt bad for how low she felt....oh well...lol

I watched a 8ft fluorescent light with the 2x4 it was screwed into come loose from the ceiling and land on the roof of a 70 mach 1 mustang that had just gotten polished and buffed 10 minutes earlier. Bad day for that owner.

That's one of those things that after it happens, you just sit there in shock for a moment and try to figure out what has just happened. Bad break. Drip rail fit great. Hope that trim piece found it's way to you.

You guys all motivated me.

My son and I have a wall cabinet with a drop down front that forms a work table for our shop manuals and for working on small parts. In the down position it's still high enough to open over the front fender of a car parked in the garage. I've been eyeing the rear hinges suspiciously thinking that if the screws pulled out, the rear of the shelf would drop onto the fender. We don't often leave it open but it would be just my luck. I added safety chains on the back edge today after mulling this thread all day while working out in the garage.
