Well they are made in the USA for us so we are hoping to see them in the next 3-6 weeks. I am sorry for the delay. I will check with my purchasing dept to try to get a more concrete answer.

Thanks

UpDate. Spoke to the manufacturer and the forging process should be done this week. After that process they have to go for heat treating and powder coating. So right now we are looking at the 13th of July to be done. If there is any updates I will let you know.

Thanks

James, looking for the 1.03 bars for an E body, catalog says they are not available. Will you be getting more of these in as well?
Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,

We do have them for E bodies but only for the ones with a small blocks at this time. The big blocks are currently in production. I will try to get an eta on when they will be ready.

Hi James, any update on the E body 1.03" T-bars? Also, will you guys be fixing the clocking to be more inline to stock location?
Thanks

Yes we have torsion bars currently available for A body big block and small block cars and for the B and E Bodieswe have the Small Block torsion bars available. YesPST is working with a well respected engineer in the Mopar aftermarket on a new High Performance/Pro-Touring torsion bar with a different clocking position to improve handling and ride quality. The sample bars are being made as week speak and hope to have them in a test vehicle in the near future. We are very excited about the NEW Torsion Bars and hope to have them ready before the end the of the year.

Thanks

James, any chance to make the new T-bars hollow in the middle for weight savings? A bigger, hollow bar (like a anti sway bar) would be the first on the market I know of.

While the torsion bar DOES carry a lot of its load on the outer section of the bar, I don't really think a hollow torsion bar would be feasible.

Consider hollow sway bars- in order to maintain the same spring rate as a solid bar, they have a larger outer diameter. With most folks running 1"+ diameter torsion bars, you don't have a lot to work with with respect to the hex ends of the bars. The largest bars Ma Mopar ever made were 1.25", so realistically your outer diameter would be limited to that, which really doesn't offer much room to expand. Even if you did manage it then, the hollow section would be very small, so any weight savings would be seriously marginal. To go any larger then that you'd either have to neck the bar down (manufacturing nightmare), or replace the hex ends, which would mean replacing your torsion bar anchors and LCA's. Not to mention there's A LOT more stress on a torsion bar than a sway bar- even if someone managed it I don't think I'd run them, gives me the heebie jeebies from an engineering standpoint.

And then there's the fact that folks have issues even running 1" bars. I haven't had any myself, but there are people out there that had header and steering component interference issues with 1" bars.

I would have to agree with 72blunblu on this one. A good idea in theory but feasible not likely as you have to slide the bars through the rear anchor points to install them and to make a hollow torsion the bar would be much larger in diameter to the point it may not fit through the anchor point during installation.

But the idea is a great one and I do appreciate the thought. It will be something that I will bring up with our engineer and get his thoughts.

James, is this still on track? I'm starting my winter projects on my Dart and these torsion bars were on the top of my list. Can you tell me ballpark figure how much the current 1.03" bars lower the car?
Thanks

The bars have been made and tested and installed. We have approved the new bars and are hoping to start production ASAP. Just a quick fact all our bars are made in the USA. As for our current bars depending on the set up that you are running you will see a 1" to 1.5" drop. If you have any other question please let me know.

Thanks
James

James,I'm extremely curious about these new pro touring t bars I'm hearing about. I'm almost in these process of changing the entire suspension to a pro touring setup.( stiff t bars, leafs, big sway bars etc). Do y'all have packages available ? And now that the bars have been approved,do you have a date set for release?

Unfortunately I do not have a definite date on the bars but as for making a full kit send me your needs and I will build a package for you with good pricing.

Thanks
James
