2001 Chrysler T&C minivan starter replacement

Hello gang,
I plan on helping a friend by changing the starter on their minivan.
It often takes 10 plus tries to get the starter engaged.
Is this a simple procedure like it would be on my Scamp?
I haven't looked at the vehicle, is the starter easy to get to on a FWD V6?
Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated.

Not too horrible to do. It is up front and can be accessed fairly easy from the bottom
