Hey, Adam!
I'm from the north/central part of the state...but if it's not too far for you, check out the Mopars in Motion club's weekly cruise on the Berlin Turnpike in the summer. They set up at the Burger King in Newington on the Pike.

It's really a great group of folks. Despite the fact that I have been showing up in my "Ferd" Mustang, the group has been very welcoming and friendly and they have some amazing cars.

I'm on my lunch break at work but I'll check out your Facebook link when I'm on my own computer. :)

EDIT- looks like you're specifically orgainzing your own cruise...so my info probably doesn't help. :D Ignore.

If I may correct you, MIM does not run the Burger King cruise in, that's run by someone else! And Adam, I'm in the central part of the state, but if you have something on a day when I'm not busy around here, I'd take a ride out to the Danbury area!

Correct. Ralph from MIM runs the Burger King show but its not a MIM show. Id like to get a group of guys together at local shows and maybe do a few day trips or cruises.

Adam

I'm right in your backyard. I live on Shelter Rock road. If I'm around I'd be up for getting together in the spring/summer.

Adam, where are you thinking of haveing a get togeather? I'd be interested too. Did you ever have that get togeather last august (I think it was August 3rd ) ? Somthing came up that weekend and I could not make it. I belong to MIM but the berlin turnpike cruises are just to far away sense I live in the northwest corner of the state. I have been out to Marks a few times, so I might hit that again on a few monday nights this year.

Nothing ever came of it. Its hard to find a date that doesnt compete with another show.

Come down to the Island this summer!

I am working in Briarcliff Manor these days, which is what, 35 miles from you up 684? Maybe if I don't have daddy daycare duty one night I can come by after work to hang out.

I'd like to come up but it's hard for me to do that drive in the Duster with 4.30 gears...

Hi guys. Great to hear others interested in bringing Mopars together in CT. This is the 10th year for Ralphs Rapid Transit Burger King Cruiz-In on the Berilin Tpke. in Newington, CT. Many of you are familiar with the format. You can find a complete schedule on my website www.RalphsRapidTransit.com and a link on www.MoparInMotion.com . You can also sign up to RalphsRapidTransits facebook page for updates and event pictures.

Adam I can promise if you brought your Mopar to one of the Cruiz-Ins you would be a regular as Steve Roadcuda AKA MIM Officer is. We talk Mopars and SuperCars all night long. John you need to bring out the Duster for A-Body night and the Bird for Six pack and Wings night. All are welcome and are promised a great time. That must be 45 minutes by the way of a bird flying, but not by the roads in this area Ralph...LOL! The berlin turnpike is an hour and 10 min. away, with no traffic....and with 4:30's in the duster, driving it that far is kinda out of the question, until I find a trailer. But as soon as I find a trailer I might just bring it down some saturday night.

Hey!! FABO still up an running! I haven't been on in sooo long I forgot my user name, and don't even mention trying to remember a password :) That part took about a 1/2 hour just to find who I am..then had to request a password. LOL

Just remembered I had a pretty nice 70 Duster in the garage too. Probably will stay there for the most part. Doubt car will be out much at all B4 Musclepalooza. Hate the **** outta most "day time" CT car shows, prefer cruise nights but since Marcus is all gone..........ughh things are looking bleak. Torrington gets 35 cars on Friday nights, (takes 4 minutes to walk around, then leave) need to re-fi the house to drive to Monroe but on some Friday nights it's actually bordering on fun.

Good news is some old friends from our late 80's Mopar club are back in the game. John Tambascio scored a '70 440+6 4 spd 'Cuda black on black with red hockey stick emblem..+ shaker hood.. My buddy Brian just traded his classic Gene Snow '70 Funny car for a 1 of 1 426 wedge '64 Sport fury 2 door wagon...4 speed..bad *** war wagon.

BTW, the cruise nights at the Berlin TPKE are awesome especially when they are crowded. Was fun drag racing there years ago.
