Bigtooth, Keep us posted. I hope it all works out for you. I relocated my oil filter for that very reason.

Nasty, glad their taking care of it, was never a fan of ceramic coating done in silver, going to have my headers done in satin black so after awhile when things start showing it won't be as obvious.

That's pretty slick, but I'd be a little worried about the tire kicking something up and puncturing it back there behind the tire.

Eye hear ya on that. I have lots of clearance and my thought is straight line drag racing and the tire throw is now where near the filter. If it happens your beer is on me...LOL

I have ceramic coated Stainless TTI headers on both my Ram tow-pig, and my 408 Valiant. I can definitely tell the difference in the way the coating is holding up between the two. I daily drive and tow with the Ram year-round, after 4 years, they still look like new. On the Valiant, the much higher EGT of that engine has caused problems with the coating. Starting to see a little rust on the flange and first bends on the primary's. In the process of changing over from a carb to EFI to keep the fuel/air mix a little more in control and get the EGT's down to a reasonable temp.

I had a set of custom headers that I put on my wife's car ceramic coated at a place near Oxnard California and they've been on for 3 years now and are exactly the same color as when they were new. No fading and no blemishes. This is on a high performance engine that heats up on hot days.

I will never buy commercially coated mass produced headers. I prefer to buy them and then have a honest place coat them.

After 4 years I only get a little touch of rust on flange of headers, I take 0000 grit steel wool and lightly wipe it off, headers look great still!

For shipping them , U haul sells boxes in varying sizes that will work......a small wardrobe carton or maybe a dish barrel would be the ticket.
Most places that coat them ( I have been doing a bit of homework on this in the last few days ) ship them back in the carton they were sent to them in , so a couple bucks worth of bubble wrap or similar isn't a bad idea either.
As far as reputable outfits , some of the big names aren't quite honest with some of their claims regarding coating inside and out.
And like anything else , you get what you pay for.
The last set of ceramic coated headers I saw that looked anything like the O.P.'s were run with a load of bad gas and it BBQ'ed the coating right off of them.
But it is surprising that they look that bad after so short of a time, and it's good to hear that they are stepping up for you.

So, i've had the headers back for a while now and they did recoat them and they look good as new, a bit of pitting can be seen through the coating where the metal was corroded a bit.
I will get some pics this weekend and post 'em up.

Im glad that worked out I just spent 770 for some headers from them I would hate tothink they wouldn't warrenty there coating

Just to go full circle on this, here are some pictures of the headers after I got them back from Engineered Applications.
