Somebody put the trim pieces on the power bulge hood in backward. The engine call out should toward the windshield, not the headlights.

Yes it has a 340 hood , its wrong we know that for sure. With the holes for the GT chrome trim and the GT door panels , and alot of the GT cars came with Buckets and no console , lets just say it is a GT .He says it had a 6 cylinder engine , and it was an automatic car looking at the brake pedal .One thing we do not get is the serial number .Check this out the car is rare enough with a 225 , and if it has the serial number LP23A with an auto being a 170 engine 42 built.

That car has been for sale for quite some time. Not bad at all, includes the same optional seat available on the 1970s Dusters (my 1970 Duster 340 had that exact seat), same front clip as teh Dusters too, AFAIR.

Some have taken those cars are made nice "sleepers" by dropping in a warmed over 360 setup ...

So IF it gas the 170 it is a little uncommon but only because nobody was keeping the 170 when the big six was just a family dinner more. I'd bet this car is a 225 which means its as common as they come.

Yeh you are right the 170 was the undesirable engine for sure , but he never did give us the serial so we really do not know for sure. One thing we do know for sure is that they built 42 auto,s with a 170, and 5830 225,s .I just checked for fun the 69 Dart Swinger 340 they built 16,637 , 8834 4 spd,s and 7803 auto,s . So even with the 225 i would say it is rare enough , i also checked the total on the 69 GTS and it is very close in total also the the 225 GT,S .So the way i look at it , the guy was close enough in it being rare.

The hood looks like it came off my long lost 69 GTS I had in my youth. I wonder if he can tell me where the rest of the car is LOL.

Uuuuuggggghhhhhh .... I love my Valiant convertible BUT I was ripped off .... I soooooo wish I had known about this Forum BEFORE I bought it!!!! Love the car at #28!
