I need to replace the trunk floor in my 70 dart. I have a 1 piece amd piece. Wanting to know from the experts. Does it even fit through the trunk opening?
Thanks:tongue9::tongue9:

Actually, I wasn't sure, hence my question mark. Even with the frame rails there, it seems like it could go in at an angle and sort up up and wedge it in there, but maybe not. Seems like it would be a bigger hole than the trunk opening anyway.

But, this article that may be helpful implies different. It's a '67 Valiant, so should be about the same. If it hadn't had the large trunk opening, it says they may have opted to install a 2 piece pan instead of 1 piece:

And, different car, but here's one where they install a Superbird trunk in two pieces. So, it looks like your answer could be no:

Hope those articles help at least, if no one replies who has actually done this on a Dart.

No no. I wasint being sarcastic, I have to do my trunk floor and was thinking about the one piece too. Never thought to go through the bottom

I'm not sure on the A-bodies, but when I replaced the trunk floor on my '68 Road Runner, the panel between the taillights needed to be removed.
It would not have gone through the frame rails from underneath.

Yeah, I just didn't want anyone to interpret my statement as being sure about what would work. But yeah, the research certainly indicates replacing it as 2 pieces, or doing some other modification, unfortunately. The from underneath thing seemed a logical alternative to me, but... nothing is ever that easy, eh?!
