This happened across the street from my wife's sisters house last night, everyone was safe. The house caught on fire in the evening, burned pretty bad. Fire department put it out, then shortly after midnight it went up in flames again, they have it on video, real massive flames.. guess it wasn't out completely the first time. Anyways, old glory stood her ground, flames didn't get her.

Wow sorry to see that family lost their home. Old Glory is a tough old flag been through a lot.

I feel for the family losing their home, looks to have been around a long time too. I'm wondering if it would be appropriate for a neighbor to take the flag down and keep it safe for the family?
