It was mentioned to me that the front rails for my 70, 340 Duster could possibly be the same as ones under other a/b/e body cars with the same style k-member. Is there any truth to this, and if so, which years and models would work. The left rail under my car is damaged. It is not rusted, and the rail caps that I've seen will not work for what I'm wanting to do. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!

X2 on that one. some are a "little" different because of more or less holes in the drivers rail from the factory year-to-year but other than that they are spot on.

Ok, Thank you. Is there anyone that offers a full reproduction rail for the A bodies?

no, but plenty of members sell very nice used pieces- a couple of members do outstanding dismantling-- check the ads-- or post up a want ad-- you will have a choice.
if you have a question on the seller ask-- most members are decent & honest, but there are always a few special ones, Lawrence

Get the best used, complete, rail you can find. Here is the thing about used parts...... A used part has fit correctly on a car before so it should fit correctly on your car.

With a reproduction, you just don't know.

Contact Lee Robinson on this website, may have exactly what you need. Or not. He had a very clean 76 valiant he was pulling apart for people. From what I remember it was hit in the passenger door or door hinge area. I have bought lots of stuff from him. Great seller. He is in CA but he ships all over from what I understand.

We also sell nice used Mopar sheetmetal.... but we do not have any drivers
side front framerails at this time, as we are all sold out for now. We do have
a few passenger rails 67 and up.

How much do the rails usually sell for?

We have seen them on this site for between 150-250 each. Most rail's are usually just cut out rough for the most part, nothing wrong with doing it that way, but (We) and a few other members drill them off, just like the factory welded them on. We are planning on having some this year, at the Chryslers at Carlisle show this July. We sell (our asking price) is 225.00 each, for super clean ones. As always, free delivery to the show in July.
