Ok I've searched and havent found what Im looking for. I have a 318 magnum efi running megasquirt and have a 904. I am trying to find info on how to setup the kickdown on the throttle body. Has anyone done this and can you point me in the right direction and is there a kit out there for this. I looked at Lokar but everything is for Carbs.
Thanks

Even the 4?RE transmissions have a kickdown cable. There is a cable that runs from the throttle body that points toward the firewall and has an adjuster at the throttle body.
I would think that it's as simple as getting the kickdown lever from a newer style trans the cable and the bracket that holds the trans end of the cable.

The best way to swing this is to grab the factory cable, bracket and kick-down arm off a donor truck 88+, so everything stays the same ratio.

Don't bother with Lokar; most of the time you have to drill a hole inboard on the transmission arm. Not to mention you've gotta cobble up a bracket at the top, ugh. Top it off with the fact they don't give those Lokar cables away... My head hurts just thinking about it, if you can at all possible, just use the junkyard cable, please.

It looks like its going to be a bigger headache than just going with a manual valve body. Im I correct if I go manual valve body and I don't need the kickdown.
