Custom models. Show em.

yes yes ....same reaction for everything i do LOL ....nobody ever guesses i am interested in the things that i am into. Such as HO model trains ........when i was younger i started buying bachmann and tyco train stuff in HO scale but it got too expensive.

Sadly i sold all my model railroad stuff but it wasnt all bad because the money i got from its sale is now a 4 speed in my dart

But i still like to go rail watching. I go to a an old depot in a near by town when i am sad to watch the trains. I prefer either first generation diesel or the modern stuff....Like the AC locos of today....i dont really care for grandpa steam locos.

When i had my old train stuff i ran a fictitious road named the "NEW ROCK ISLAND" mainly because my favorite road name is the "Rock Island" ....what a magical road and i loved their paint schemes.

i have tons of books about rail stuff.....i love it

So now i am getting into slot cars because its cheaper and easier to maintain than the rail stuff. I dont have much room to set up stuff like that because i still live with my adoptive parents....so a bedroom is not enough room for a full on rail empire.

As far as models .....i dont have much in the way of spare parts......i went to a garage sale one time and found a 68 roadrunner and 70 duster kit (i only buy mopar)that i use for parts and also i have 69 GTX parts. I had a 69 GTX kit and i messed up the body because i painted it in winter with the slow hardner so it was taking forever to set up and i got impatient ....so i had the bright idea to put the body in my easy bake oven to make it to dry fast and it didnt work out so good because i messed it up :banghead:

Rani, OMG this is terribly funny.... LMAO, don't take me wrong, but. have a look here:

That WHOLE "photobucket" account, is mine, you will find a list to the left on the screen. you want to see trains, OMG.....

I used to own a shop....YTR (Yellowstone Train Repairs) as I grew up with the B&O down the street, and the Western Maryland RW up the street, within 2 blocks of themself!

So, my favorite railroad? Yep. The B&O....

The Rock Island was a great railroad even tho they went under what was it BN? I think....I haven't read through the whole book on the mergers yet.....RI was in the days of my era of the Chessie System.....I got TONS of items. you ain't seen anything yet....

Nerd? Yeah, I'm one, BUT I also made good money at being a Nerd too! LOL

AND I've always been a Mopar fanatic....

ENJOY! A lot of what you'll see in my photobucket account, is stuff, I've built, customly for my self, and for others repairs I've made, and engines I've taken "before" and "after" when completed....

As far as models, your lucky! I've been watching out for cars at yard sales but have found absolutely no cars, paint and glue, yes but no actual "model cars" or even trucks yet.....
