Can someone tell me if leaf springs for a 1968 Barracuda, will fit in a 1972 Duster.
Thanks

yes they fit. the question is from what engine combo. 340 springs are different from slant 6 by the number of leaves

This is what the guy that's selling them has told me. They are not Super Stock but are XHD, the passenger side spring is a bit heavier and has a little more arch then the drivers. they are both the same number of springs. The passenger side has half leaf towards the front .

the front spring eye (bolt) may be a different size

1/2" vs 5/8"

we are working on a 72 Dart
took the springs off, to move into the frame

Have a set of 70 -340 springs, they are 1/2" diameter
the 72 spring hangers are 5/8"

Sorry for asking what may seem like a stupid question. What would be required to make these work. And are the parts available ?

If you are asking me?

We just used the front hangers from a 70 to keep the smaller 1/2"

If the springs have the 5/8" bolt
You can drill out your hanger to that size
very easy to do.

If you are using the leaf with the 1 inch eye you will need new bushings that have the 1 inch OD. They can be found at Autozone under the Energy Suspension part number of 2.2117g.
