Wife is retiring, and will be home all the time.

I better find a full time job and soon...lol

Not ready to be home with her 7 days a week just yet.

She's got 37 years in with the federal government, and over 25 of that was in the same position. I'm proud of her and happy that she gets to retire, but she's a little older than me and I got another 8 - 10 years to work.

But for better or worse, things will never be quite the same.

Time to fire up the oldie and start taking dates at the drive-in A&W

she deserves her retirement , let her enjoy it. she might find on her own she is getting bored after awhile and find something she likes to do part time.

I have a one car garage, and that's where my Dart lives.

But I told her since the dart is basically finished, I may have to get another project car so I can spend more time in the shop. She wasn't too keen on the idea, but we'll see what happens. I know that somewhere out there is a '66 Valiant with my name on it.

She's got a huge list of things she wants to do, more volunteer work, read all the books in the house and then pass them on, stuff like that. And she wants to do a lot more camping in the summer time, so I'll do my best to make sure that happens for her.

Camp at Anterro, ot Tarryall, both beautiful scenery. But I ain't telling anyone who lives out there something they don't already know.

Well you are giving me more ideas on where to camp..lol

I have heard of both those places, but haven't been to either. We used to go to the Red Feathers area all the time, cause my parents had a small piece of land very near there. But they sold it years ago.
Lately we've just been going to either one of the campgrounds in Rocky Mt Park, or to Olive Ridge, just outside of Allenspark. Either of those places is only about 1/2 drive from our home in lyons. So we're camping, but not far from home.
We need to start branching out a little and finding some new places. But all of Colorado is beautiful so it should be easy to find nice places.

Ahh camping, give me my tent, sleeping bag, 2 coolers with beer in one and food in the other, propane tank, camp stove, lantern, and my butt in the mountains and I'm set.

Congrats on the missus' retirement, she really does deserve it. True it's an adjustment for both but you will get through it together.

If you want I can post up pictures of both places. Anterro is a S Platte river impoundment. Upstream from Cheeseman reservoir. Tarryall is what I don't remember off hand. I do remember it is one hell of a long drive on a two lane road. Scenery for either is magnificent!

Thanks Louie, but no need to post pics. I can find them.

I do remember when I was a kid, and couple times I went with mom and dad to Trappers Lake. Its pretty high elevation, extremely beautiful area, and great fishing.

But you gotta be careful of what time of year you go to Trappers. Wife and I did it several years ago. The mosquitoes were so bad it was unbearable. We stayed for like 24 hours and then got the heck out of there.
