Technically, there was no "Stage 1"...

It was first marketed as "Max Wedge"...

Then in 63 they came out with "Stage II", which then "implies" that 62 was stage I, but it didn't become Stage I until Stage II came out.....

But it was not "recognized" as Stage I by Chrysler....
