Thanks all, taking the block in to get checked this week. Bores look good. Coolant channels have that Bars leak stuff still left over from previous owner.

The plan is to keep the same cam (only has 1.5k miles), use the 273 heads Justin ported, and get new standard 2bbl pistons/rings. I have a brand new Holey 4160 and using the same Eddy Performer intake.
Before I pulled it #8 was letting 20% past the rings. There was also a stutter under load that I just could not figure out. Hopefully starting from scratch fixes this. And teaches me some new lessons.
