I just want to pass this on to those that are not experts in the (A) body cars,
I have a 1974 Dodge Dart swingger, 2dr.
I needed to replace the front windshield gasket, my mistake was thinking all
Darts bodies are the same, they are not. the 74 Demon and swingger have a
different roof line, and a windshield and windshield gasket are not interchangable.
I bought a gasket and was assured it fit the 74 Swingger, that is how I found all this out.
So make sure when you buy a part it is for your car and not just a Dart.
Next installing the gasket and window is not hard at all, once you have the correct part.
It took me about 35 min to install the glass, being very carfull as to not crack the glass,
or chip it..
You could use some soapy water or wd40 to help slide the glass around and in my
case push the locking rubber piece into place...

Just wanted to pass that info on...
Yesterday I drove the car for the first time in about 2 weeks, and she did not like it
at all, especially getting into second gear... when I parked it, it was running fine, now
seems to have some issue...

Thanks for the info! I guess you live in Torrance? I was raised there.

Hi Allen
It's still a pretty nice city to live in, of course all things change...
Always like to pass on info and save others from mistakes....
