Ok! I've have my VIN (serial) number for my previously owned 65 Barracuda, Commando V8, four speed. Where is the best place to start a search to see if it still exists or what happened to it? I traded it in (in a moment of stupidity) for a new truck in Ft. Walton Beach, FL in 1975.

Its good you still have the vin! The best place to start (it was for me!) is @ the DMV. because as im sure you have already found out vin searches for pre 81 cars were on our own! The DMV here in neb. has a form & a charge for the from to give the last person to have re titled it. I found my dads old 67 belvadere (not in a good way! was parted out as soon as the sale was made back in mid 84!) I hope this helps you & your old fish is still swimming!
