I have a belt alignment issue due to mismatched pulleys, I do not know where the pulleys came from, when I got my engine someone had already been playing games swapping parts (mismatched crank and rods, etc.) :banghead:

I don't know if it makes any difference from small to big block, mine is a 440. I need either one of the following pulleys:

2 groove water pump pulley, should measure 2 3/8" to 2 1/2" overall depth (measured laying flat on a table with a straight edge across the fan mounting surface)

3 or 4 groove crank pulley, from the back of the grooves to the mounting surface (snout) should measure close to 1 3/8".

Please be nice, I don't have deep pockets. Shipping would be to 98284. PayPal only.

Thanks in advance,
- Steve

A 2 groove crank pulley with a longer snout would likely work for me as well, I would have to check the measurement. I am only running 2 belts, I'm looking to run both from the crank around the water pump, one to the alternator and one to the power steering pump. Once I have pulleys that line up at the crank and water pump I can move the alternator and power steering pump as necessary. I will try to get a measurement this weekend the distance from the mounting surface on the water pump to the mounting surface on the harmonic balancer using a straight edge. So if someone has a matched pair of pulleys they want to donate (sell cheap?) this will make it easier to check if they will work for me.

What year is your motor? I have a pulley and balancer off a 73 440,it a 4 groove. I'd sell real cheap. If your interested let me know

It's a '78 engine with a cast crank from I don't know where that is now internally balanced and has a new balancer on it for that. That pulley looks the same as what I already have. If you measure the snout I bet it's rocking at about 1/4" shorter than the 1 3/8" I'm looking for. I'm trying to get the wp pulley grooves back 1/4" or the crank pulley grooves forward about 1/4" from where they are to make everything line up. I'll try to get some pictures up on here later of what I have.

The difference front to back from the wp pulley mounting surface to the crank pulley mounting surface that I have is 4".

The balancer won't work, mine is internally balanced and I put a new balancer on it when I put it back together. The crank pulley looks the same as what I already have, if you take a measurement from the end of the snout to the back side of the first (rear) groove I bet it's around 1 1/8". It measures 3 3/4" overall depth flat on a table with a straight edge across the snout.

Trying to post pics from phone let's see if this works.

Hi!! on ebay right now there is a complete set up. I do have a water pump pulley that sets back @ 2.5 inches from the mounting surface of the water pump. look at #201476573429 under parts. let me know if you need 2 belt grooves on the water pump pulley, I think either will put you back far enough, closer to front cover.
