We bought a 2015 200S v6 FWD back in July of 2014. We have 25K on it now and love it. My only real requirement was the biggest motor I could get and a sport suppension, so I looked at most every available 4 door sedan at the time. In the end we liked the 200 best and I couldn't beat the price.
I will say it is not just an oversized Dart. Might be the same chassis, but it is a much nicer ride. We do have a rattle when the wind is blowing across the car from right to left, but I think it is due to damage from a huge puddle I hit last summer, not a build issue (dealer can't locate it to fix it, but we haven't had it in since we figured out the wind connection). Other than that is is quiet and comfortable. We've also had an issue once with the car not coming out of park, but that might be related to a park rod recall we had done shortly before the issue, and it has never come back. Had the transmission flashed once and it seems to work fine, but I'm not overly critical of it so others might wish it worked better. I do wish the paddle shifters reacted faster, I can't seems to catch 2nd before hitting the rev limiter and it doesn't feel like a stick when I try to pretend. :-) But it's not like it is a real sports car, even if it runs hard and handles well, so expecting the paddle shifters to react like a Porsche PDK setup is unrealistic.
I love the v6. Couldn't be more pleased with that. I think the I4 would be disappointing. But just a guess, never drove one.
One thought on the Fusion...I've heard of issues with the DFI since there isn't a fuel spray to clean the back of the intake valves. I guess they carbon up and the only solution is to pull the cylinder head. Maybe they have fixed it, just a thought.
My Mom has a Fusion and loves it, but I really haven't done much more than ride in the back seat once. I will say that entering and exiting the Fusion back seat seems easier, but I don't ride in the back of my 200 either.
I do wish we had gotten some of the higher end options (seat memory and auto unlock on the passenger side door being high on the list), but I love the car.
