I do not have pictures but the tracks will be in great shape based on the car being in storage since 2000 or so. They are not for sale but am needing a set for 1972.

Message me and let me know if this shoe fits someone lol....

The 72 & 73 seat tracks are virtually the same parts. Just use your 73s....

Thanks for the reply. I was told yesterday by Legendary Interiors they are completely different.

Please take this as no insult but I do not know who knows the actual answer lol...... The tracks I have now are clean and smooth so if you were correct I would be more than glad to buy you a beer if you ever make it my way..... What is the difference in the 2.

Thank you,
John Weaver

John, I'm guessing that Legendary Interiors was referring to the 72 versus 73 seats themselves & not the tracks.

The seats are quite a bit different. Soft cover backs on 73s, hard cover backs on 72s. Seat release mechanism is also different between them.

The tracks are virtually the same as mentioned & if there are ANY differences they're subtle...

You might want to call them back just to ease your mind :)

Thanks for all the replys.... As for the tracks I can take pictures next week but they are in an all original 73 A Body untouched so if that provides any additional info that is all I have...

I specifically asked the Sales Rep at Legendary about the tracks and his technician told him the 72 are their own animal. I also understand they probably use the better safe than sorry route and they have a whole bunch of things to remember about interiors (lol) so they could be off key on this one....

My back story to being cautious about seat fitment comes from a Chevelle I restored once (no lighning strikes please lol.) That one taught me an expensive lesson and I only want to restore a set of seats for the car one time.... It seems as though the only seats I see for sale have no tracks.....

I can totally understand the difference in the floorboards for the later cars but I can't wrap around my brain that the engineers would have made that much of a change in the tracks. The car all of this is going into did not have buckets originally and I just need what will work and make the seats set properly in the car.

Thanks again for all the replys,

JW
