Just wanted to drop a pic of my engine as it waits for the 4 speed to catch up.

Looking good....is that the stock power steering bracket? Mine came without one

NICE!!
The motor looks gorgeous.
Any upgrades in there?

Yes that is a stock Ram power steering bracket. It will most likely end up crowding the battery. Cross that bridge when I get there. The only goodies are a Magnummopar stage 2 cam and EQ heads. Thanks for the compliments, she looks amazing in person.

I just cut my battery tray so it is narrower, and used a thinner battery. Works great, and no messing with the factory brackets or hunting for van power steering brackets.

How'd you get your brackets looking so nice? Are they new?

Peyote, honestly the brackets just got a good cleaning and scuff. The power steering bracket is actually cast horribly, it had all kinds of sharp casting flash and ugly edges, it got a quick, as in maybe 10 minutes work, with a flap style grinding disc.

Hey as long as I've got all of your attention, what is this port and mumbo jumbo back behind the intake, beside the distributor? Do I need to keep it? Or can I just cap it all off, and plug it?

Hey Rick, regrettably not much in progress. It is the soccer season and I coach a team of my 18, 12-14 year old girls. It is my slow season as far as the car is concerned. I have ripped my k-frame back down. It was powder coated 4 years ago. I let my exuberance get the cart before the horse. So I had to weld on sway bar brackets and the bracket for the Firm Feel power steering sector bracket. Just finished all of that. Then painted over the remaining powder. After 4 years of being moved around and mocked up, my entire suspension was ready for a refinish. Just have to do the lowers and the steering chuck now.

What kind of red paint did you use for the engine? Looks nice and shiny, and nice bright color.
MileHighDart, that is Valspar farm and implement paint. It is a single stage, uses hardener, and designed to sit outside forever. The color is FORD Tractor red. Sorry to disappoint everyone with my off brand paint and color! Lol
