...the wife belongs to a quilting group, Fat Quarters Quilters. They have a quilt show every August during which time they raffle a quilt....proceeds go back into the group...to buy supplies for the downside of items that are donated to sick folks, families that have lost a family member. Last year they donated quilts to the "Hot Shots", the group of firefighters that fought some of the wildfires.
If anyone would be interesting in a chance to win this year's quilt....

Tickets are $1 each. Quilt is slightly larger than a standard Queen size. I will gladly cover the shipping...to the "lower 48"....

My Mom and her sister go to some big quilting show in Sisters Oregon every July, I think Mom would like this quilt. Please send me your paypal, I'd like a few tickets.

Ernestina is very appreciative of those interested in helping out her quild.

One of the projects that they work on is called a Pizza box challenge. In the past these quilts have been for sale at their annual quilt show. This year they have decided to auction these off as well. The pizza box of fabric that Ernie was given was pretty ugly...but the end result is very impressive. I have asked Ernie to suggest that the creator of the quilt be given "first dibs" on their quilts. I really want her to keep it...

Part of the proceeds from this quilt get donated to a local youth group. A large portion of it goes to buying supplies so the group can make comfort quilt for the Vets Hospital.

HEY! You guys need to stop buying these tickets. - It's lessening my chances of winning. LOL.

Seriously though, it's a great looking quilt and I like supporting those causes.
