1970 Swinger with a 360 Auto. Headers and disc brakes saved some weight I imagine. My race car scales were 3,078 with 1/4 tank of fuel.

So the hopes of my dart sport coming in at 3000lbs is not gonna happen unless I go full racecar
Man these things are heavy

Their really not heavy compared to other Mopar body styles. Only compared to an early Chevy Nova or Mustang or something real small like that. I consider my Cuda one of the heaviest A-bodies since it's a fastback and full dress with stereo equip and it's right at 3500 with a full tank of gas (without me in it). Compare that to a Chevelle which weighs at least 200 lbs more. A buddy of mine has a 67 Firebird and it's also 3500 lbs

I have a fully loaded '72 Demon (A/C, PS, PB, Stereo 8-track, console, automatic, buckets...) and it is still sharp under 3500 lbs.

Thats pretty damn good. almost a 50/50 weight ratio. That think must hook up good on any surface!

I sweated it at the scales, when the nose came up at 1500 ,I figured I'd be 3000 plus.I was surprised. It even has a full interior, and oh it hooks and launches hard. the 408 is blue printed to 550hp (muscle motors)full roller with port xfi injection,1-7/8" TTI's, 3500 convertor ,race 727 and 3:91's with 325/50 m&h's
