I picked this car up yesterday. Like the 71 Charger R/T I just stripped for parts it will be used for parts also. I am taking the power window harness, Power bucket seat tracks, the 331 suregrip and the 440 with AC. The rest is available for parts. Come and get what you need before it goes to Mopar heaven. The car was in dry storage since 1993. The body is rock solid and all trim intacted. Has a broken tail light since yesterday's trip home. I am keeping what I need for my 71 Roadrunner. Motor can be left in if desired. also has 8 3/4 rear. Starts and runs great. real smooth.

My name is Steve I live in Danielsville Pa. 18038, I already have the 440 from the Charger so I don't really need the motor from the Chrysler. I also Have a Mega block that can go along. It is a 500 inch short block. 69383valiant bought the top. Pistons are a little heavy and have L-rings which are hard to get. Parts I need are sixpack pan ,pickup and windage tray and resto magnum cam and springs, stock intake, also looking for elastomere front bumper any condition for a 71 Roadrunner. any 71 RR parts are considered.

I think thats my dads old car. I'd be willing to bet a paycheck on it. If you pulled it from a storage unit in N.J. , did you buy it from a gent named Steve Bryant? He purchased it from my dad around 1989 or so. It disappeared around 1993, and i moved to Texas in 1995.

There would be some minor body work on the rear quarters, and one front fender diecast cap was replaced with a junkyard part that was light metallic green, and paint matched. I think i blended partially into the center upper header panel. Steve Bryant worked for Island transport running motor fuels out to long island. He would power this thing from sumped fuel off his fuel truck. He had a fuel tank sump drain plug installed in the bottom of the gas tank to sump out water from the gas tank.

If your pix are from the storage unit which it came out of, i have little doubt. I remember years ago around 1985 buying a 66 fury vip 383 from him and having to dissassemble it in front of that storage unit to be able to lift it by hand with a helper onto a trailer. Back then he had a blue 68 Nova SS with a big block and a 4 speed that was leftover from his early 70s street racing days in that storage unit.

i got rear ended by a honduh civic in this car when dad had it. I believe all the hondua did was put a small scratch in the rear bumper and broke one reverse light lens or maybe a taillight lens, but it was totally obliterated.

Its been over 30 years so my exact memory on all the specific details is fuzzy.

I doubt dad would want it back as he is 80 now. But id like some good pix of it before you rip it apart. If you could just verify the details i mentioned, and rinse the dust off and snap some good pix for me, i would greatly appreciate it. I never really got any good pix to keep before he sold it. However if it is his old car, i installed the orange box back in 1987 lol,

Thanks
Matt

Yes this is your dads car. everything you described is correct. I really bought it for the motor and power window parts. I paid $2500 and bought it from a towing company in NJ. The paper work in the car is Steven W Bryan. I have not touched the car yet except for cutting off the blocked muffler. This would be a perfect car for a Cummin's transplant. The motor in this car is very smooth it does not skip a beat and runs perfect. The drain is in the tank as described.

The charger was easy to strip. It was far from unmolested. This car is a time capsule and I am finding it hard to destroy. somebody offer me equal value parts for my RR and take it away . Title in hand

That car's nicer than six of the eight I drive. How much do you want for the whole thing so it doesn't get cut up for no reason?

As a matter of fact now that i think about it, i think there were some issues with the rear quarter windows rolling down and up on that car. May have been just 1 side that had issues and not both, so we never rolled down the rear windows for fear they would jam in the down position. I know i told Steve to leave em up.

From the pix, i did body work on the right rear quarter below the trim. Hard to see but probably still in primer. I never put the fender skirt back on, and left it in the trunk. I bet its still there lol.

I know we both had issues with one another over that 71 charger on another thread, however oldmanmopar, please pm me, and send me the licence tags and the old paperwork from it that might have been related to my dad It would be neat for me to have.

Thanks
Matt
I didn't get the tag with it I only got the title in the glove box. I cannot find my camera to take pics. The pics I posted were from the craigslist add. searching for camera may have left it in the charger. I bought the car from Manny's towing 973-684-8474 his cell is 201-206-2254

Motor and trans are sold as is the radiator and A/C parts under the hood on the motor. the body is still available for now. I need $1100 for the complete body with the 8 3/4 rear to break even. This will make the car a roller if I leave the rear in the car. I have a 8 1/4 rear to put in if anyone wants it cheaper. The PW switches and PW harness were removed. This is a solid body. Thanks for the help selling what I don't need. Title in hand. I will still sell other parts. Tried C-bodies, Guys are brutal.

Maybe its because it was too clean of a car to cut up. Hey look at it from their perspective. You would be upset too. However since it looks like its gonna get picked apart. Are you interested in selling the center chunk? Is it a locker? Clutch or cone type? Whats the true gear ratio?
