I'd give you *** for the block by itself.
The heads are later casting, good one, but at first sight...not 340 heads.

Please make offers thru a message.

Can you make out the VIN on the block? How about the casting dates on the heads?

I cannot make out all the numbers or letters of the VIN staped on the block, I don't think the heads are from a 340 but from a 360 1973-74 (casting #3671587)

What can you make out on the vin pad?

Take some steel wool to it. Might leave paint in the stamping to make it easier to read.

587 heads came on 340's.

Here is the best i can tell 7G239789. The two 7s and the G I am not one hundred % sure of the top of the 7 is not there and the G kind of looks like it could be a C.

"but at first sight ....not 340 heads" ...they could be heads off a 360 since the picks aren't clear enough to show a factory looking. 2.02 . "heads are later castings" means not married to that 1971 block, would have had a 72-73 block to have heads of that casting. Could be 340 heads.
Bump.lol
