New Mopar Fuel Tanks From Aeromotive

Yes Aeromotive installs their Stealth/Phantom pump and sending unit into a new tank that is built by Tanks, Inc. With the cut and patch we made in the trunk floor we used a flexible line, like one used in NASCAR Late Models.

We inserted a new rubber donut on the tank inlet to connect the metal tube neatly to the tank, since there were two sizes to connect with the flexible fuel filler line I went to a local muffler shop and had them spread the metal tube to 2.25 inches, the inside diameter of the flexible tube. Next is to put a stainless hose clamp on each end of the flexible fuel filler line.

We are installing an aluminum Edelbrock hard line from the tank to the the Aeromotive Regulator #13204 mounted on the engine firewall will hook up to a fuel filter and to the Holley 750 carb. More later.

Thank you very much. I was not sure if the Aeromotive combos were the same as the Tanks Inc tanks. Make sense, but I didn't want to buy the wrong thing.

Also, you said something about installing your regulator on the fire wall. I'm not totally sure, but I think there is some rule for the drag strip that that regulator not be on the fire wall, because it could be hit by at flywheel/torque converter if they failed. Now I think it's a good spot for looks too, but if you plan on racing. You may check into it if you haven't yet, just so you don't find out after you put holes in the fire wall.
