Hi all, any one out there got an idea how much clearance they have between carb top and the hood on a 73-76 duster with an RPM air gap manifold, trying to plan how high an air cleaner I could use, before going to a scoop.

Eddy carbs are about 1/2'' taller than Holleys, I don't know about the rest. My eddy plus RPM air gap on a 360 fit my 76 Dart Sport and I think the Duster hood is close to mine.

73 Duster, Eddy Airgap, Quickfuel 850, Stock air cleaner, plenty of room.

I have an Air Gap with a 1" spacer and drop-base filter on my '74. It barely clears (I think I had to shorten the stud)

i have a airgap with a holley and a m.p. air breather.no drop base needed

It will work.
I have a Holley Strip Dominator, std. drop base with a 3.5" filter, solid top and a 1" spacer on my Dart Sport. It rubs the top a little on one spot and I had to carefully measure & trim the carb stud. If the wing-nut/carb stud rubs a bit or dings the hood, the scoop will cover it.
