Hurst Shifter rust

Hey everyone,

I just rebuilt my Hurst Competition Shifter, cleaned it with thinners etc BUT I am worried it will start rusting.

Anyone have any tips on how to stop that??

Paint, chrome, oil, powder coat, nickel
 
If they have Evaporust there in S.A., get it & dip Your fresh metal in it & pat it dry,.....done. It won't be oily & attract dirt & dust, You can put it in a bag, handle it,whatever.
