is it possible to alter the sheet metal on a 67 darts taillight housing sheet metal to use a 69 dart
bucket and lens
 
Are you talking about the tail light housings that are part of the actual car body or do you mean the tail light buckets that the lenses screw to and then you mount to the body?

the actual shhet metal body of the dart but the buckets that bolt would also be an option if its doable
 
I did it to mine. I cut the opening for the 69's to fit and made 2 upper and lower L brackets to hold them in.

What's wrong with the 67 lights? Or do you not have any lights currently in place?
 
Before you do any cutting you should see if the taillight buckets for a 69 will mount in the openings on the 67. If so, you would save yourself a lot of hassle.
