I have a str 12 cross ram intake, with a six pack top for an air cleaner, would the correct air cleaner be 2 air cleaners (like the max wedge or one).is there any place to buy them?
Thanks
Mike

the correct filter for a stock 6 pack would be the one oval air cleaner, but that intake is far from correct. very cool intake though.

EDIT: ok I just reread it slower, you mean that you have one air cleaner on the cross ram, im assuming its diagonal. thats stock on chevys but every mopar ive seen has 2 individual air cleaners. someting like these but these are k&n pieces

Hey there I have a str 12 also. I was wondering if you would send me a pic of your air cleaner set up. the six pack air cleaner is what I was hoping to see

I read somewhere that oddly, the aircleaners used on max-wedges were actually the same as the ones used on the /6 of the era. In other words, find a couple of old /6 aircleaners, re-do 'em & save yourself a bunch of money....... as to "correct" the intake was never offered on anything & the Trans-Am cars of the day used a cowl induction system so you'd need an oval aircleaner ducted to the base of the windshield to be "correct"

I received my flow# results from Tom's Performance in vancuver wash. for my B1BA's 298cfm at .600 in. 280cfm all the way to .700 these are the numbers I remember over the phone have not received the email yet from them pretty sure I remembered all of that. Truthfully I was hoping for more than this. This is not including the manifold btw. The flow co. wanted almost 1000.00 to flow this manifold/head combo. Also cam motion came back with 259/263 dur 684/684 110 lobe seperation 106 intake centerline. And I will run the holley 650HP's. I went with the cro'd huges 1.6 roller rockers. their solid roller lifters also. Pistons are prob flat tops, final compression will be 12.1. The bottom end I went with the 4 program main caps and a girdle.
Those were a few of the last things I was up in the air on. what do guys think?:burnout:

Hate to dig up an old deal but did you make this thing run? Pretty sure I know this engine.

I loved mine and it ran great for something that was built many years ago as a matter of fact it took me to the final round at the track on it's second outing. I sure do miss it as that intake had the WOW factor.
