Looking for recommendations (prefer personal experience) of what to paint or seal up the bottom of my Demon's unibody/chassis. I will be starting the process of blasting the underside and adding some structural support here in the next week or so but what is everybody using on the bottom of their car? It will be mounted on a rotisserie and blasted to bare metal. I've been out of this body/paint game for a few decades and would like to know what options are currently out there. I am thinking some DP-40 and then simple gray enamel paint, or possibly Lizard skin or truck bedliner. This is a driver car and I'm not planning on finish painting the bottom to look as shiny as the top, just looking for long term protection and a neat appearance.
Thanks for you opinions!

Scott, A couple of thoughts you might want to consider. I just got my Dart out of media blast and into body & paint. The media blast people epoxy power primer coat sealed the inside and bottom of the car. I'm going to Lizard skin the bottom and inside, heat reflecting on the bottom and sound proofing on the inside. A little overkill but I won the Lizardskin at the Good Guys P-Town show. I've used Lizardskin in the past and it has worked well for me.
I attached a picture of the epoxy primer sealer in the Dart.

I used herculiner (rubberized truck bed liner) on the underside along with my passenger compartment and am VERY happy with the results. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Best part aside from the results, is that it didn't take any special tools or experience to apply. Just a roller they provide with the kit and a foam brush for the hard to get areas. Takes 2 coats to get proper coverage but it goes a long way.

I don't have a good pic of the underside, but the results were the same. I also did my truck, inside of my front fenders and the firewall (passenger compartment side).

I blasted the underbody with medium Black Beauty after removing the seam sealer and undercoating . Took 700 lbs of B.B.. After that I used 3m seam sealer and tooled it into the seams . Next is etching primer and on top of that is high build primer . Then body color and clear coat . I used Lizard Skin on the interior floor and firewall and DEI above headliner and under dash . Wow, results were awesome . Good luck, Tom

I've painted both of the undercarriages of my cars first with rust bullet and then with their black shell chassis paint. I did my dart 4 years ago and it's still in great shape.
Here's a shot of my Demon chassis. I just finished this a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the pics guys, I need some inspiration to get out there and finish up the rest of the structural stuff so I can get it mounted on the rotisserie and get serious about this project. Here is my plan as of now:
I have a guy local to me that does the dustless blasting with crushed glass and will be going that route on the bottom and engine compartment, followed by a good cleaning, bare metal prep then epoxy primer. I will most likely try the Lizard skin ceramic thermal barrier followed by a topcoat of gray enamel paint in the bottom of the car and then some high build urethane primer and single stage enamel in the engine compartment to roughly match the current exterior color (metallic tan). Keep the comments/recommendations coming though as I doubt I will be spraying anything on the Demon until mid-summer at the rate I'm going. I did get the lower core support fitted and tacked into place this week though so some progress is better than none!
Thanks
Scott

I use Dominion body sealers on all joints inside and outside. I have found they have the most flexibility and don't dry out. Urethane high build primer and a good quality top coat should get you where you need to go. The intended use of the vehicle should dictate the top coat needed.
