Oil suggestions?

Need to change the oil in the truck i bought and just got running. 98 Ram 1500 with 183k on it. Its carrying 40 psi when warmed up and the oils been in there for 7 years while it sat. What brand and weight do you suggest. Ive always used kendall. Also should i convert to synthetic with that high mileage? I know different companies advertise high mileage oil but ive never had any vehicles over 100k before.

Run what you wanna run. Go with the factory recommended weight. Just that simple.

Seven years, though? I'd change it 500-1000 miles. Any new oil is going to act as a flush.
 
I ended up going with NAPA high mileage 10-30 oil. Was going to run it about 1K and change again. From me cleaning up what I could when the intake was off and as was said in previous post lots of washing going on!
