Swapping a 360 from A-Body/auto into a '78 Dodge Van with factory 318/4 speed - Advice?


Thanks so much! That simplified things for me big time... It turns out the crank I have in my 360 is already set up for a 4 speed with the proper drill depth of 1.964" and will accept the pilot bearing (Timken# FC69907) with the outer dimension of 1.816 and inner diameter of 0.751.
So, I think all I should need now is the correct flywheel (balanced with 143 teeth) and I should be ready for the swap.
