This is my first post, and have always been a chevy guy until my aunt gave me a 1968 valiant signet.

I have working on getting it consistently running and one of the issues is the car was broken into and the guy broke off the shifter completely and i have not had luck getting it back on. Is there an easy and cost effective way to fix this without replacing the steering column? If i can't just replace this, what steering columns are compatible that i might get from a junkyard? How about new? I'm looking for any and all options i have here.

Also looking for a good inexpensive replacement for the torque converter.

As for specs of the car it is a 225 slant six with the 3 speed auto, i think its the a904.

Thank you for the help

Does your shifter look like this? If so this one is for sale for $10.00 plus shipping.

If it's a column shifter just have to drive the pin out and replace the shifter
