Spindle nut spec for right stuff disc brakes

Pretty much, that covers it, if You're using the larger spindle. For real, it doesn't matter what it is, if it's a tapered set of roller bearings I use the same technique for all of 'em.
I grab the nut from the side w/a 10" pair of channeloks and use a twisting motion to snug the nut down, give the hub&drum/rotor assy. a few spins to free the hydraulic
pressure that builds when the bearings 1st seat,(You did pack the bearings, right?), then give another twist while rotating the hub again until a firm twist won't move it.
If You're using a stamped retaining cap for the cotter key You should be able to get it lined up, & if not back the nut up a tick till You do. Castle-nuts sometimes makes You
choose, I go a tick tighter if it is definitely closer to lining up in that direction, if it is anywhere near close to 50/50, always back it off till You're in. You'll be fine.

The stamped castle keeper has different alignment slots, meaning if it doesn't line up, take it of and rotate it to the the next flat and see if that lines up repeat one more time, if not find the closest one to aligning and back the nut off enough to fit a pin in.
