I've searched everywhere and can't find the answer to this. How tight should the 90 degree adaptor be to the block? I've already had one failure coming from the tube/bolt gasket. Just don't want to over tighten it. Guess last time it was to loose!

Trying to do an initial start up on a 360 with HP exhaust.

I'll be damned. I've never seen it before, but sure enough...there is a torque spec for it.

There you go.

I'll say I've been doing this since 1980 and I've never torqued one. I guess maybe I should be.

The first adaptors tube didn't look straight when I pulled it off. Bought another one and its fine. Its in and all good and forget about torque, the bolt is 1-3/16" and barley clears the torsion bar, I have nothing to torque it with. Anyway it's installed and not leaking.
