Dougs 453 headers with 727?

I was about to pull the trigger on some Dougs when I saw a line that says “will not fit with 727”. Also the last year listed is 72. I know others have those headers with a 727 so unless they changed it should not be an issue? Does anyone know of any changes that happened.

My car is a 73 swing with a 360 and 727 by the way.
 
You probably saw the Q&A on SummitRacing??? Says they will fit a small block with a 727 but requires a mini starter.
 
Doug's headers fit really well. I put a set on my early A Cuda. Sort of a PIA install, but fit very well! 65'
 
I've got Dougs with a 318 and an A518. No issues at all with the transmission.
Problem areas are torsion bars and possible steering column on tube no 7.

If you drive your car on salty winter roads, forget about the ceramic coating. It'll be gone near the lower tubes and collectors in just one winter.
Top side stays nice though.

Got a 1974 Dart with 360 and 727 fits fine.
of course I have floor shifter.
 
74 duster with 904 and mini starter. Went in perfect.

I've got the Doug's and the Chrysler starter w/A727. I have cable shift and kickdown setup, plenty of cable and trans case/pan rail clearance. The starter fits, it's a snug fit especially on the bottom inner edge and the white terminal insulator side , but the header needs to be loose to install/remove.

Doug's D453 fit well but kinda a ***** around the steering. ..

My 2 cents...

Don't EVER rely on the information on summits site for fitment... EVER!!!!

There are products in the section they sat fit and don't and others that do fit and they say no, don't fit.

Go to the manufactures site and check there. With internet it's so easy and takes a few minutes.

Cool you got headers, I prefer Dougs and the savings of $. tti work fine and fit well too.
